Thank you for joining us for this year’s GECRC Literary Event!

What an incredible evening filled with stories, friendship, resilience, and community. Even with a few unexpected plot twists along the way, the evening reflected exactly what makes this community so special: neighbors showing up for one another with generosity, warmth, and unwavering support for local children and families.

We are deeply grateful to our guests, sponsors, volunteers, and Literary Event Committee members who helped make the evening so meaningful. Special thanks to Shannon Burgess, The Bookstore of Glen Ellyn, and Willie DiFabio for helping bring the themes of Heartwood to life through thoughtful conversation and connection.

Because of your support, GECRC continues to provide free academic, enrichment, and social-emotional programming for hundreds of local children and families.

As we look ahead to summer programming, we invite you to continue the momentum through a match challenge by Dan Anderson and a second match challenge by the Pfister Family. Every gift, up to $3,000, will be matched, tripling your impact for children across our community. CLICK HERE to donate.

Together with you, we are helping children pursuit their dreams and build bright futures.
